As I like to say, stack your own deck despite the hand you have been dealt. I am extremely passionate about pouring into the younger generations with this message since this is not typically taught in traditional school or at home. The more young leaders we can create...the more future business and family leaders int he world = the world a better place for all.
Kate Papkin is originally from Washington Township, a Philadelphia suburb located in southern New Jersey. She attended the Pennsylvania State University in State College, PA and graduated with two degrees in Communications Arts and Sciences and Broadcast Journalism. After college she entered into the real estate industry in Northern Virginia as a Sales and Marketing Representative for NVR, Ryan Homes. She quickly accelerated through the 10 month training program in 5 months and was put on a 100% commission structure. She channeled her passion for real estate and helping others and quickly became one of the top sales representatives in the region. For the following years she sold new construction single family homes, town homes, condominiums and active adult communities all over Northern Virginia, specializing in Fairfax, Prince William and Stafford counties. She qualified for the elite President's Club award the first year she was eligible, won divisional MVP awards, sales representative of the quarter, and excellence in customer service awards, each multiple times. She became a "go to" resource amongst her peers and management teams, was designated to train new hires and participated in a corporate pilot program to revamp the entire training protocol for the company. She served on the customer service committee and mortgage committee to improve the customer experience and improve company ratings. She was promoted to a divisional Sales Manager after successfully selling for 7 years. She then managed multiple sales teams and communities across varying geographies, driving sales volume and maximizing profitability for the company over the next 4 years. Her primary responsibilities included community segmentation and positioning, team motivation and morale, training and recruiting. The communities that she was responsible for achieved and maintained #1 market share in their competitive market places.
She then transferred her new construction, sales and management experience to Keller Williams Alexandria-Old Town as the CEO/Team Leader. She drove the organization with the mission of the office which is to become the premier real estate company in Northern Virginia, both in market share and training in order to reach the agent's personal dreams of success. Under her leadership, this office doubled in agent count, market share and profitability over the course of 4 years.
Coaching and developing others has always been a passion for Kate. She worked to qualify for the opportunity to become a KW MAPS Leadership Coach. After completing the extensive training required, she was able to actively coach 10-12 international leadership clients each month in addition to her active role as CEO/Team Leader.
In 2019, Kate was promoted to General Manager for the KW Metro Center multi market center group. She currently oversees three KW offices with 750+ agents who closed a total of $1.98 billion in sales volume in 2020. She is passionate about working with the leaders and agents in the KW Metro Center organization to provide an excellent customer experience for their agents and clients and build their life by design at the same time.
Kate has a quality positive approach and puts a strong emphasis on relationship building and support for others. She is dedicated to fostering a workplace of high character and responsibility. She thrives on working with learning based individuals which is why working with Keller Williams is such a natural fit.
