Life has challenges, I've lived through some, but I endeavor to persevere, seeing beyond the obstacles, to what is possible, to live a life of prosperity, joy, and abundance; I will remain humble, coachable, with relentless work ethic, love in my heart, my eyes are open knowing life continues to happen for and not to me. As a former teacher, elected official, Trainer, and Director in Sports Medicine, Athletics, and Education for the past 23 years, John has a vast array of experiences in education, government, non-profit, business and community service. Former Councilmember and Vice Mayor for the City of Surprise for nearly a decade, along with two decades of teaching experience, John is passionate about service to to others, and has a servant leadership philosophy that carries into every role.
John has multiple dogs including Nash (named after his striking resemblence to former Phoenix Suns Point Guard Steve Nash) and Barkley, a high-energy German Shorthaired Pointer that both keeps him running and makes me feel like a young parent!!
John is family first, and he will tell all his most important job is being a mentor and model of integrity, respect, and love to his three children. Super proud of each of them, he has dedicated his lifes work to showing them whats possible, to follow their dreams, and to wake up daily with a "win the day" mentality, no matter what life throws at you!!
John is now a real estate agent and on a team, The Legacy Group, that shares his core values and purpose, John remain active in his community, teaching college level courses, serving as the Director of Community Education for his local school district, and supporting and managing Growing Minds Preschool for 300 early childhood learners, and The Vista Center for the Arts, a 1300 seat perfroming arts center that is home to countless educational, entertainment, arts and cultural events. John has grown these programs expotentially, realizing a 252% gross revenue increase over the last 3 years.
