I am from a very small town in Michoacan, Mexico and I came to the USA in 1991 to be with my family. When I came I did not speak English at all but I was determined to learn the language and keep educating myself. I started taking English and pre-college classes in 1995 and three years later started with my college level. It took me about five years to get an A.A. degree due to my full time job and studying part time and I got it on spring of 2003. Right after that, I applied and was accepted at the University of Washington Tacoma campus. Right away, I realized I was not going to be able to work and study at the same time so I decided to focus full time to school. In Spring of 2005, I graduated with a B.A. degree on Business Administration.
In 2006, I decided to become an Insurance Agent with the purpose of helping my community. The Hispanic community had a need of an honest and ethical agent so I gladly assumed the responsibility. I was a successful agent but, three years later, I realized that my goals and the company’s goals were not matching. It was a really hard decision to stop serving my community but I had to resign.
Real estate was something I always was interested on so, in 2010, I decided to go back and offer my services to help my community throughout real estate. My goal in the community is to serve as an education resource and referral source to other professionals with community focus. The community has been great to me and my business and for that reason I feel the responsibility to contribute back. I LOVE MY CAREER.
