The Mission For My Life Is...

The mission in my life is to teach by engaging and working with others in seeking / finding their own mission or purpose. Encourage and, nature willing, inspire others by my imperfect example to be better in their next moment than they were in this one… and better yet in each moment that follows the next!

Bio:

Originally from Brunswick, Maine, and the youngest of six, I earned a BA in English in Ohio, served as a US Army cryptologist in Germany, worked as a resident counselor with adolescents for a year in Pennsylvania, worked on a conversion crew with New England Telephone for three years, and, while teaching grade 8 language arts in rural Maine for six years, came to the Keys during a Christmas holiday and soon thereafter relocated to the Keys permanently in 1995.

Unable to secure employment as an English teacher at Key West high School after substituting in the fall and filling an emergency vacancy in special ed in the spring, I’ve been a fulltime real estate professional here in the Keys since 1997. In that time, I’ve worked with many sellers and buyers to make their Keys dream a reality. Truth be told, teaching was the best!

I'm a professional real estate photographer and occasional weddings. And as a hobby, too! I also officiate weddings.

Here in Key West, I worked for several years as a hospice patient volunteer before that hospice was shuttered. And I'm currently a proud Rotarian in the Key West Sunrise Rotary club.

I've been happily partnered both personally and professionally with Ed Russell for 20+ years. Ed works as an environmentalist with NASKW (Naval Air Station Key West). He and I maintain a small honeybee farm.
